Under-designed for a vintage 1930’s look and feel, THREE is a tribute to the GAA’s great full backs. A specialist position requiring brain, brawn and courage we remember the best operators in Gaelic football and hurling.
While the position has changed in recent years once there were many great full backs from Hall of Famer Joe Keohane (he of Keohane Athletic Club) to Meath’s Mick Lyons and Galway’s Noel Tierney in football, Pat Hartigan of Limerick, Brian Lohan of Clare, Diarmuid O Sullivan of Cork in hurling, the number three didn’t make the icon but revealed him.
Designed in 1930’s style when players wore loose-fitting cotton jerseys and the memorable black and white number box first appeared, this jersey remembers icons of the position and the art of full back play in Gaelic Games.
